As I have posted before, I was one of the winners of the Hamilton experience. Of course the tickets went to my wife and daughter.
Typically when you have sky high expectations you are invariably disappointed. In this case they were exceeded.
It started at the Hunt and Fish Club with a reception. I crashed the cocktail hour because, well I was thirsty and my daughter is underage. During the reception three of the cast members mingled with the auction winners.
My daudgter and wife on the left. The guy in the middle was Philip and a couple other minor parts. To his right was the original Eliza and finally the understudy for multiple parts including Angelica.
They has a Q&A and performed some songs from other projects they are involved in. I was gone by then.
They had a very nice.dinner, steak or salmon. Marriott then had transportation to the theatre and the seats were orchestra seats, not in one group but all close. Since the venue is small, there are no bad seats.
Even though they both know the story and soundtrack by heart, the performance added a depth that each was thrilled with. Their favorite actor was that king of England. Both were in tears at the end.
