Last week I stayed at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel in The Woodlands, Texas.

The day before I was to check in, i got the alert for mobile check in on my phone. I proceeded to do the mobile checkin on my iPhone and noticed i was upgraded to a Larger King executive room. I only booked a Std. King room. Then the next morning when my flight landed, I got an alert saying my room was ready and asked if i wanted to try Mobile Checkin.  Instantly i had my Room Number and my Key on my phone.  Once i got to the hotel, i parked in the parking garage. Got my bags and headed inside. I skipped the counter and went directly to the elevator and to my Room. Using the app, i was able to open my door and get in the room.

I was also able to use this Mobile Key for Lounge access as well. The only issue i ran into is that the mobile key can not be used for the parking garage. I had to go to the front desk and get a physical key, that did not work either on the parking garage.( The valet came and opened the gate for me)

Organize Your Trip!

Posted by matthank Nov 9, 2017

Keeping all of your trip details is a PAIN. Making sure you got the Flight, Hotel, Rental Car, Restaurant Reservations, Address, Phone Numbers, Contacts, etc. But last year i found out a great solution that keeps track of all of that for me and I want to share it. The website is called TripIT! It builds you an interactive itinerary based on your confirmation emails.  Basically, when you get the email that confirms your booking at your favorite Marriott or SPG hotel, you simply forward it to plans@tripit.com .  Then do this with the other things like Rental Car, Flights, OpenTable, etc as well.  Once you have everything sent over, simply login to TripIT.com on your Computer, or using the Tablet / SmartPhone app and you have instant access to all of your travel plans.

And no, I do not make any money or work for TripIt. I just really enjoy the product and it works really well.

This will be a running list of all of the hotels that I have stayed at. They are in no particular order. Some hotels have been stayed at multiple times, others only once.
