I stayed at this property last weekend when I was taking my visiting family to Niagara falls. The last time I was in Niagara Falls we stayed at the Residence Inn Amherst and I am avoiding RI now because of the half points unless thats the only option or I am doing a redemption stay.
I had booked 2 rooms - 1 King and 2 Double as there were a total of 5 people in our party. I had placed a request for connecting rooms and it was completed to my delight.
The rooms were on the top floor - the concierge floor. Of course the lounge was closed as all NA lounges think they need to cater only to the business crowd and not the holiday crowd.
I chose the $10 F&B coupon as my gift - I was given 2. I was also given breakfast coupons for 4 people and only had to pay for the 5th person - which was an awesome gesture by the FDC.
The rooms look a bit tired and worn out. This property is in need of refurbishing - the signs are all there.
This property is about 20 mins drive from Niagara Falls and I would stay here again if the price is right. The properties in Niagara Falls area charge absurd room rates and parking fees and what not.
There was a minor service issue - we requested hot water be sent to the room as I was not feeling well - they did not send it out even after 45 mins. When reminded again they sent out in like 10 mins with profuse apologies.
We tried to order room service on Sat night but they did not have pizza toppings we wanted - no pineapple, artichoke or spinach either. All they had was broccoli. So we just ordered a pizza from a pizzeria right next door.
Sorry did not take photos - would have posted otherwise.
