For our summer trip this year in August I wanted to go to Yellowstone National park but all the hotels in the park seemed to have already gone and it still involved a lot of driving - although I love it very much it felt that it would be too much for just 2 people and I dont like taking trips with others .
I have always wanted to visit Machu Picchu and thought this would be the best time to visit.
I just booked flights using my united miles, wanted to tack on Ecuador as it would be free using the Excursionist perk but visiting Galapagos (another bucket list destination for me) turned out to be too costly with trips to India and Mexico City already planned this year.
So would be visiting Lima for 3 nights and 5 nights in Cusco. I got a great BRG rate for $200 a night for the Tambo Del Inka, LC hotel in Urubamba and I am contemplating staying at the Courtyard in Lima as I would be spending very less time at the hotel - I am landing at 10 30 PM and spending another whole day touring the Nazca lines. The JW is almost twice the rate of the CY and just doesnt seem worth to me.
