Hotel Review: Marriott's Maui Ocean Club - Lahaina & Napili Towers

Blog Post created by iahflyr on Oct 1, 2018

I thought I might have done a review of this lovely resort last year when I put this thread up MAUI OR BUST.....The Search, The Plan, The Story, but I am not able to find it here now.   So here goes, sorry it is more than a year late a review of Lahaina Beach Resort | Marriott's Maui Ocean Club - Lahaina & Napili Towers .

Somehow I lucked into booking the five night stay on points about three months out, just kept searching and searching BINGO there it was.  Even though we only wanted a 1 BR Villa and this was a a 2 BR Villa it was the only room listed using points so had to book it.  Having been to this resort and same buildings (Lahaina & Napili Towers) a couple of times (not since 2011 though) we knew that we wanted a corner room suite with a full kitchen (as we love to cook/grill) and huge balcony.  So I decided to call the resort and ended up with the Front Desk Manager (no clue now of his name) who was extremely nice and helpful, knew exactly the room we reserved since the owner of the timeshare had just turned this week in to the resort to list.  YES, it was the exact room we wanted, how's that for some luck.

We made the 45-50 minute drive from the airport and went to the Mobile Check-in area of the front desk there they were waiting for us to arrive.  A warm greeting and thank you for being Platinum as well as return guests, gave us our information pack and off we were to the room.  Oh my, what a huge living room and kitchen, but then the view, a true Ocean Front Villa I'd say!!

Huge bathroom with large tub and shower, King Bed was simply wonderful and had a very small balcony off the bedroom.

The room was perfectly cleaned from the chairs to the entire kitchen, washing machine and dryer right down to the balcony, spotless and we thank them for that having been done.  The furniture was all in excellent shape as was the maintenance of the villa.  The resort itself is always spotless as you walk around it with friendly employees everywhere you go.  The fitness center is smallish, but with excellent equipment.

Our top floor Villa gave us the main balcony off the living room was large enough to comfortably sit out in the morning having some breakfast as well as enjoy the gorgeous sunsets in the evenings plus room for a couple of lounge chairs.  We so love the Pacific sunsets.

The pools are wonderful and since we arrived on Labor Day it was not all that crowded as we thought it could have been. Very easy to get lounge chairs by the pool or out along the beach walk that traverses Ka'anapali Beach.

The BBQ Grills are a plenty around the resort, well maintained and always cleaned each morning.  I think we grilled Fish, Chicken, Pork and Burgers and meeting others down grill side was always a great fun pleasure.

Grabbing your favorite glass of Wine and going to the beach for sunsets is perfect after a day of touring Maui, relaxing by the pools, walking the beach and splashing around in the ocean.

Sunset sails are fantastic as well to enjoy the sunsets, sea breezes deep blue Pacific water and splurging a little more!

Maui offers so much to do not sure five nights was enough even though we've been previously.  We will be back and highly recommend this property in Paradise.
