Hotel Review: Sheraton Towers Singapore

Blog Post created by fistuk on Dec 30, 2018

When in Singapore you got a few options to choose from. However, when considering only 5* hotels, you got to choose between 3 hotels:

JW Marriott South Beach, Marriott Tang Plaza, Sheraton Towers.

Reading reviews on all the three has led me to realize they're all attractive:

They're all centrally located, so all convinient to wonder in the center of town. All are also located very close to a metro station.

I used points redemption, so when looking on both Marriotts above, I saw they're category 6 hotels which require 50k points per night comparing to the Sheraton which is a category 5 hotel requiring 35k points per night. So, if you redeem 4 or 5 nights than there's a difference of 60k points in total, which is significant.

After considering all of the above, I chose the Sheraton, due to the points saving.

Eventually, I was happy with my choice, as the Sheraton fulfilled all my expectations:

The hotel is very elegant and consists of marble walls all around the lobby floor which provides a luxurious atmosphere. Front desk is close to the entrance and the concierge desk is adjacent to the front desk which makes it very convenient.

Main restaurant is located on the lobby floor as well.

This is probably one of the most elegantly styled lounges I've ever been to! It is VERY beautiful, as simple as that.

In this lounge evening food is actually a full dinner, not just snacks (but I'm pretty sure it is the same in all Asian hotels).

If you travel with children note that they're not allowed in the lounge, so breakfast is provided in the main restaurant (which is much reacher in selection) and dinner is provided in the lobby's bar.

All in all, one of the best!!

This hotel seems to be a veteran in the city so its rooms need a face lift, especially the bathrooms (no walk in showers, just bathtubs with a large shower head).

Apart of that, all was ok.

Elite members benefits

1. I tried to use my suite nights award but unfortunately the hotel didn't have availability... The only type of suite (out of 3 available) which is considered as a 'select' suite in this hotel for this award is the 'Executive' suite (during my stay all of them were already booked).

2. I was upgraded to a pool access room (located on the pool floor and providing direct access to the pool from the room's terrace)

3. As I had a late flight on check-out day, I requested an extended late check-out and was approved with 6pm. This was not good enough for me, so I spoke to the duty manager and she agreed to extend it to 8pm (complimentary) which worked out perfect!

Quality of service

Nothing compares to the Asian level of service!

Absolutely the best!!
