Spending the kids inheritance ( Part One)

As one gets older and you attend more funerals than weddings the mind tends to focus on the things you would like to do before the grim reaper grabs you. On a particularly cold, damp and miserable day in February last year, having just returned from the warmth of Fuetaventura in the Canaries, Linda and I were discussing this very subject over a glass or three of red wine. We both agreed that there were a couple of parts of the world that we would like to visit before we became too decrepit to do so. the first place that was added to this bucket list was a visit to the Caribbean. I then set about finding a way to get a snapshot of that area without venturing too far outside our comfort zone. The best trip I could find was with that very British of cruise lines P& O (even though it is owned by Carnival). So early last year we booked a 2 week cruise, starting and finishing in Barbados during this January aboard the P&O Azura.
