Westin Warsaw

This was my first stay at this hotel, however I have now stayed at all three of the Starwood properties in this great city. I knew the hotel would be busy, Coldplay were in town for a concert, so I didn't think the hotel would upgrade me to a suite but I tried to force their hand a little by presenting them with a suite night request, sadly it didn't work as I found out later that Coldplay were actually staying in the hotel and had taken all the suites and a lot of the rooms.

I had booked a standard room on a lower floor for the princely sum of £60 per night. On arrival we were given an SPG executive room on the 20th floor with a great view over Warsaw. We were given a free full restaurant breakfast and in the room was a fruit bowl and some fancy water! The room was spacious, well equipped and had a very good bathroom with a separate walk in shower. The Executive Lounge on the 19th floor was large and comfortable with tea coffee and snacks available all day. Between 6 and 8pm the lounge had a full free bar with wines, spirits, and a large selection of local beers. There was also a hot and cold buffet at the same time.( this was so good that I think many of the guests just ate there and saved the price of dinner).

This is probably the newest of Starwood's properties in Warsaw. It has a large bar area on the ground floor which is open until 1am, however, it is impossible to drink Polish beer until this time unless you don't start until midnight as you will have fallen over somewhere long before that time. There is a restaurant , which normanp has told me is good, however I have found so many good places to eat in Warsaw that I always eat out.

Overall a very good, comfortable hotel with good elite recognition that represents amazing vale in a city centre hotel. It's not my favourite of the Starwood Warsaw properties, that title goes to the Bristol, which has a better location and is just pure Luxury Collection class but this is a great budget conscious alternative.
