This weekend I stayed at the Springhill Suites in Arcadia and got back to Gold Elite status. With four and a half months remaining in the year, my eyes are now set on attaining Platinum status for the first time. I'll use this blog to track my guest to get Platinum status. Hopefully it will be a fun journey for more than just me.
My next group of stays should come the end of Aug and first week of Sep with a road trip starting in Roseville, CA then heading down to Pasadena (staying at the Westin to take advantage of an SPG promotion) and then on to Phoenix. That's zero nights so far and not the best start to getting the 25 nights I'll need for Platinum.
In Phoenix we will spend the first night at the CY in Avondale, then two nights at the JW Camelback. From there it's on to Las Vegas for two nights at the Cosmopolitan before heading home. In total I should collect 5 of the 25 nights needed.
Oct will bring the annual 15 nights from the Chase Marriott credit card, so 20 nights down and will just need 5 nights to hit the Platinum goal.
How I will get those last 5 nights is yet unknown. There may be some business travel that pops up, but work travel right now is non existent. With 4+ months left in the year, I'll find some way of getting those 5 nights. I think Platinum status will be worth whatever effort it takes.
For now, stay tuned. I'll add more details on the upcoming road trip as it occurs. I'll also keep an update on nights that pop up.
