I am going to end the year at 45 nights after 6 years of platinum so I'm planning my first 'rewarding event' to keep status and maintain my level for LT platinum.  I'm going to block a meeting room at a local Marriott to meet with one of my colleagues for the minimum required time. Based on what I've read, this is the cheapest and easiest way to… (Show more)

I should be at 46 qualifying nights as soon as a 3 night stay this week posts.  I don't have any other travel planned.  But I do have 2 certificates for "up to 35,000 points" stay.  These won't qualify for Double Elite Night Credit.  So, if I were able to use them by the end of the month, I would be 2 nights short.  Is it worth booking a night on… (Show more)

Does anyone have a way to validate the point breakdown for a stay based on loyalty level? I know there is a bit of a formula out there, but couldn't find it. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!   I know each stay is broken into three categories - I am looking to validate the points in each category (Base, Elite, Extra) to see if they… (Show more)

So the Mega Bonus promotion is what it is. I unlocked my second offer 3 business days after my 2nd stay and it was get 5000 points after your next stay—however I had 3 stays in between my posting date and my unlock since it occurred over a weekend (so really 5 days). I do not get credit for the 3 stays in between the posting date  and the unlock… (Show more)

As the travel year is coming to an end, I've totaled up my Points earnings this year. I decided to track all my travel earnings in a spreadsheet this year (hotel, airline & rental car) to make sure that I was receiving the earned points and also to give me the ability to project both status levels and points that we would have available to apply… (Show more)

So I hit 53 nights (I will get 3 more on a trip between Xmas and New Year's).  I have my annual choice selection and am not sure what the best option is. I was expect to do the 5 nights, thinking that they would rollover or not post until January but I'm not sure that they will?  Can I make my choice IN January and have them count for 2020?  … (Show more)

To my amazement, I got a lifetime plat card in the mail today. This was exactly three weeks after having to suffer the indignity of the sounds of the life time Titanium cards dropping on nationwide 's kitchen table by bejacob, iahflyr, brightlybob, painedplatinum because I had not achieved that goal myself. We were having a totally coherent… (Show more)

The Mrs. and I are in Phoenix for the race weekend - Hotels in Phoenix for the Nov NASCAR race - where to stay? - and are staying at the Residence Inn in Glendale. It's a nice hotel, the property is clean, appears to be maintained, pool and hot tub in working order, a good (average) breakfast selection with that's kept fresh by the staff.   We… (Show more)

For an Ambassador going to Savannah for leisure, would you recommend Perry Lane or Mansion? Looking mainly for better benefits and better rooms. Perry Lane seems to have much better breakfast benefit, but also comes with a resort fee (including 2 drinks per day and other stuff, but still). Mansion has a spa (very small though).
