How can I apply categories so others can find my conversations?

It’s actually quite simple – whenever you create new discussions, select any appropriate categories. After you've given your discussion a title, you've typed your message and added some generic and Marriott location tags, simply select any categories that relate to your message.



Note: Categories are specific to each topic, so the list of available categories will reflect the area of the community you’re creating a new conversation.

Here are a few tips to make sure these categories are useful for everyone:

  • Add categories whenever you start a new conversation
  • Check as few or as many categories that relate to your conversation
  • But be specific when selecting a category – do not select a category if it really doesn’t apply
  • Be sure to add general tags that relate to your discussion or a specific Marriott-location tag if applicable
