Man, those look like HUGE engines for such a tiny jet...
Take a look at the G550 then, monster motors and the 550 has a 99' wing span. A golf buddy works for an oil company here and they have three of them plus a Sovereign, that poor Cessna doesn't even look good in the hanger next to a 550!
Or how about the 650? It's BBJ for me or nothing!
Actually I don't think the 650 engines are any larger than the 550, it just has a bit longer legs and burns less gas when in EHA, that would be "extreme haul butt"!!!
Ah, true. It's kind of slow though huh? The little Citation X can go Mach .93 rather than .88 Of course the 777 Can go .89... and those are some MONSTER engines!
Slow, you're kidding right? Neither of the Gulfstreams are slow, now a C680 is!
I'd hate to see the fuel burn of any jet a .93 and ECON for the B777 I believe is something like .84 which is still hauling donkeys.
I kid not!
I'd imagine the fuel burn on the Citation X is horrendous... it's a little rocket! But I'll take size over speed any day... Like I said, BBJ or nothing
Oh there is plenty of size in the much more nimble Gulfstreams, the BBJ takes up too much space on the ramp!
Most C750 guys fly around 310 in the climb to .83-.84 and cruise at that speed for better legs, it's just silly to go any faster.
Hey did you reach out to the spotter guys here as yet?
Meh... I'd like to be able to standup strait in my private jet
I did reach out to the spotter guys at IAH, but they didn't respond... maybe they're jealous I'm at HNL
I can stand up in the 550 and I am just guessing I am a bit taller than you......:)
I'm sure they are jealous, but they may be looking up HNL to see where you are.....they are geeks I'm sure!
Well, hopefully I hear back from them soon, or I'll try reaching out to them again.
Ah, I wouldn't know. Never flew in a 550 haha. But if I'm buying... if it ain't Boeing, I'm not going! But I can barely afford a high-quality desk model of a 738, so... I won't worry about it for now haha!
