  • Roma: Sightseeing - Trevi Fountain

Trevi Fountain - was redesigned by Bernini in 1629 but not built until the 18th century. It is constructed of travertine stone coming from the Latin adjective tiburtinus meaning Tibur, and is from the city of Tivoli, 22 miles east of Rome. This stone was also used for the Colosseum.
