Last week my Wife and I stayed at the St. Pancras, London Hotel. I used Marriott rewards points to book the room and then paid 160 Pounds to upgrade our room to a Chambers Suite. This upgrade was worth it as we had one of the best hotel experiences in a long time.
When we arrived at the hotel and went to check in, I gave my name and they seamed very ecstatic that I was there to check in and also congratulated me on recently achieving Platinum status. At this point, i was offered a welcome gift selection of a few drinks and food options. My wife selected White Wine and Macaroons. Then the check in lady handed me a bag and told me to reach in and grab a surprise. I grabbed a small plastic ball that open up and said "1000 Points". She told me that I will also get an additional 1000 rewards points for the stay as a congrats for being a Platinum member! So not only did i get a food amenity, but also got points too!
At this point she called over another woman that then escorted us to our room. On the way to the room, we stoped by the Chambers Club (Lounge for Chambers Suites only) and she showed us around. Then we went up a grand staircase to the 1st floor where our room was located. She brought us into the room and there was a pice of cake waiting for us saying "Happy Anniversary" (I got an email about 2 weeks prior to check in from the hotel asking if we were celebrating anything). A few moments later our luggage arrived in the room and we settled in. Then about 10 minutes later someone was at the door, it was guest services dropping off Wine, Macaroons, and some chocolates.
Durning my email correspondence with the hotel, they also set up my dinner reservations at the Booking Office (Hotel Restaurant) and Cinq Mondes Bath Ritual (the bathroom area in your Suite will be transformed by our Chambers Butler with atmospheric spa products, candles and relaxing scents)
So when we arrived back to our room after dinner, the bath was ready!
So overall, I would definitely check out the Chambers Suites at this hotel!
