Baden-Baden is a city of diversity, not only famous for elegant boutiques, its luxurious lifestyle and the distinguished casino, but primarily known as the center of spa and culture at the foot of the Black Forest – with Roomers right in the middle of it. There are many ways to experience the exceptionally beautiful nature of the Black Forest. For example you can enjoy hiking on Germany’s most beautiful trail, with great panoramic viewpoints overlooking the city of Baden-Baden or the Black Forest itself. If you are a cliff lover, you will be thrilled by all the bluffs you get to see and experience. In addition, you can discover ancient dungeons, narrow gorges, rushing streams, and multiple historic sites such as the Ebersteinburg, a castle which was built into the side of a mountain and is surrounded by vineyards. Of course there are a great number of locations along the different trails which are perfectly suited for a culinary stop. Regardless of whether it’s a beer garden, a vineyard, a bakery or a restaurant, you will definitely find something to prepare yourself for the next lap.

Hiking is not the only activity for discovering Baden-Baden’s surrounding nature: the Black Forest can also be explored by mountain bike, or while running, racing or climbing. For the latter, the Battert offers different levels of difficulty and is one of the most beautiful rocks in Germany to be climbed. Or you may also go for a challenging run around the Battert – the hills might be steep but the view will be worth the hassle. For those of you that prefer to go by mountain or racing bike, the waterfalls in Geroldsau, the castle Yburg, the Marienkapelle -- a church with stained-glass windows and a panoramic view over the Rhine valley on top of the Marienfelsen -- are highlights you should visit along the way. Whatever activity you prefer, we are happy to figure out the best trail for you to make sure you have an extraordinary nature experience tailormade just for you.

In case your schedule does not allow extensive tours or you just want to have a relaxed evening after an active day, Roomers‘ Rooftop Bar offers a fantastic view over the city, including Germany’s largest opera and concert house and the Black Forest as well. From there and from the patio that adjoins the restaurant moriki and the Roomers Bar, you can also enjoy the healthy fresh air that is so characteristic of the spa city and the nature of the Black Forest. If you are one who enjoys total relaxation, then our Roomers Spa is the right place for you. Here we offer not only the classical Swedish or the famous Thai massage, but also a sport massage just right after a full day of activities.
