Verified Ratings and Reviews Launching on

Verified Ratings and Reviews will be launching on hotel websites within the next few days.


The success of Ratings and Reviews on Insiders was a key factor in the decision to add Verified Ratings and Reviews to I want to extend a huge thank you to all of you who contributed to Ratings and Reviews over the last couple of years; whether you left one review or 50, your contribution helped push forward a Marriott-wide initiative.




How Will Verified Ratings and Reviews Work?

When you receive a Guest Satisfaction Survey after you have completed a stay you will now have the opportunity to include a full review. Some of you may have seen these surveys already.  The review will then be posted word for word on and will also be routed to the hotel’s General Manager.  As most of you probably know, you won’t get a Guest Satisfaction Survey after every stay (we don’t want to bombard you with surveys!). 

Once you submit the review and it goes through moderation it will be posted on the hotel’s individual website on within 72 hours. When browsing reviews, you’ll be able to see if a review came from a Rewards Member and what their respective member level is; similar to what you see on Insiders today.


Changes Are Coming to Insiders

I also want to be completely transparent with you about changes that are coming to Insiders. While I can assure you that this has nothing to do with changes some of you are seeing on MRI (a glitch I am still sorting out with our developers), there will be a significant change coming to the community. As a result of Ratings and Reviews moving to, the current Ratings and Reviews section on Insiders will be removed by the end of the year. We’ll be incorporating the reviews into one consistent channel – that channel being


We believe that integrating Ratings and Reviews with will ensure your feedback is quickly routed to the right people including our General Managers, ultimately leading to a better stay experience for you and all our guests.


From the feedback we've seen from Insiders over the past few years, (such as Ratings and Reviews overtaking other valuable conversations like travel tips and photo albums) we know that some of you may be happy with this change. I am also sure many of you will be sad to see this feature go. However, I want to work with you over the next few months to enhance the community and make it what we want it to be.  We’ll get started soon, so be on the lookout for co-creation and survey opportunities so we get everyone’s ideas and start adding new features and enhancements.
